I have just come onto here and didn't realise how long it has been since I was last on here.

I was ill shortly after last posting on here with Pnemonia (don't think I've spelt that right but never mind) hehe.

Hope all my followers have been well. And that you have all had a lovely christmas and new year.

If you are a follower of my other blog I'm going to put the cards on that I have made this year so far. My new years res, was to keep up to date and infront of myself with cards. I have made cards upto April so far :)

Long time no see

Hi everyone, I hope that everyone is well, sorry that I havn't been around for a while but have been really busy, with family life. Unfortunately 7 weeks ago I lost my FIL very suddenly, it was a shock to us all. We all miss him very much. I am hoping to get back to blogging very soon. Just thought I would let you all know that I am still alive and kicking. xx

It's been awhile again I know. Have been busy at work and at home.

Unforutnalty I'm on sick again only this time with the Swine Flu. Am starting to feel better now though. Felt really rough yesterday. Just a bit achy today and still got a headache.

Been hectic here, and things are calming down now. My friend is having troubles aswell and want to be there for her and the girls, she needs all the support that she can get. Not done any challenges for ages.

Busy weekend

Hi everyone have had a busy weekend, it was my DD 13th Birthday, she had a sleepover on Friday night with 4 friends from school and her cousin, she really enjoyed it, I cooked them pizza's and other nibbles and it all managed to go. We then had a BBQ on the Saturday for all of our family, unfortunatly it rained for most of it, but OH still managed to cook everything on the BBQ.

If you get a chance I would love you all to take a look at my other blog, I've added some cards that I made a week or so ago. (Daisy & Dandelion mainly) I added a Hull City Card that I made for my BIL. comments gratefully recieved.

My FIL will be out of hospital all being well on Wednesday. He is rather fed up now. So looking forward to coming home.

Hi everyone, just to let you know that I am still around and havn't forgotten you all. Been very busy with work and the running of the house. (Like all housewifes) So not really much to tell you all. My son celebrated his 19th birthday on the 28th May and we also celebrated my dads 85th on the 5th June. Well on Friday of this week my daughter will be 13. (Going on 30 the way she acts.) She is having a sleepover with 4 of her friends from school and we are having a BBQ on the Saturday for all the family.

OH mum is home from the hospital, but his dad is still in. They are both fed up but they wouldn't be keeping him in if they felt that he didn't need to be there.

I still havn't heard anything about my op so just keep on waiting to hear from them.

Hope you are all having some lovely weather for a change, we have had rain today on and off.

Been to hospital

I have been to the hospital today and they have given me another 3 months to try and loose some more weight for my surgery. Hopefully I will be able to loose what they want me to loose and a bit more. They seem to think that I am doing ok, with the weight that I have lost so far and that I look a lot better than what I did. Just still get tired easy. So hopefully come August I will know if I am going into hospital for it. Fingers crossed.

Well I have tryed it before but they didn't turn out very good. So have given it another go and was quite pleased with how they have turn out.
I only had to make 2 but did an extra one, can't decide which one's to send, or if to send all 3 and let Rhea have the extra one.

Good evening everyone, it's been a while since I have put anything onto my blog, so I thought I would update you on a few things.
I have been to my Gp's and have asked him to refer me for a Gastric Banding. Well to be trueful with you all, I went about 6 weeks ago, I have been waiting to hear from them and got a letter the other day to say that they had recieved the letter, now they would be writing back to my Gp for him to refer me the the Primary Care Trust. (PCT)
I rang them up asking how long it would all take and they couldn't really say. Once the PCT hear from my Gp they then refer me to a dietation and I see them then they go to the PCT and talk about me, then I have to go back to the dietation and we have another chat then they refer me to the consultant. All in all it could take up to 6 months.
When I do get to see the dietation I will tell them that I need this operation so that I can have the other surgery on my sternum. Which I am willing to wait for if they can do this for me.
I have got 2 very close friends (Michelle and Sue) that have been there for me and listening to me when I get down in the dumps. Sue's son's girlfriend had it done just after christmas and has lost 4 stone in weight. I just hope that I don't have to wait to long. I hate looking like this and am trying so hard to loose weight myself but it just doesn't seem to want to come off. I have managed 6lbs but now it just seems to be on hold. I will keep you all informed of how I get on.

got quite a few of them now. When you
print them out it gives you 2 different

A very good evening to everyone,
hope you are all keeping well. I am
on holiday from work this week and
plan on doing so much, I was going
to spring clean today but just didn't
have the motivation to do it, so
planned on doing it tomorrow. But am
going to a friends house instead. We
may get a bit of crafting done, :o).
Well the school holidays are finally
over. My DD goes back to school
tomorrow, yipee, some peace and quiet.
She gets bored so quickly, I think she
is pleased to be going back to school
aswell.

Hello everyone.

Hello everyone, hope your all enjoying the
beginning of the weekend. I have just got home
from work and had a really nice morning.
I have just had some lunch and put some
washing into the machine, just waiting for it
to finsih then will hang it out. It is lovely
and sunny at the moment. Let's hope it is
here to stay for a while.
Went to my daughters school last night to see her in
the production they was having all week. Entitled
Back to the 80's, well it was excellent, they all
did really well. She was totally shattered at the
end of it as they did a performance everynight
this week. She wasn't getting home from school
until 10.30. She didn't get up until 10am today.
So she certainly needed the sleep.
Here are some of the photos not that they are
very clear.
In the 1st photo my daughter is 2nd in from the
right wearing the white top. In the 2nd photo
she is stood in front of the lockers holding
a box.

In the 3rd and 4th photos she is centre front.

My daughter has now finished for the easter holidays
so have to decided what to do with her on my
days off. She wants to go to the pictures to
see a couple of films so will have to arrange
that.

Good Morning All

A very good morning to everyone. I hope everyone is
keeping well. I'm slightly tired but that could be
because I finally have returned back to work after
been off for 3 months. Even though only doing short
shifts it feels like a full shift.
I have been busy trying to make cards for my sister
to take to work for me, so she now has a box full and
has told me not to make anymore just for now. But I
will and keep them here so that when she does need them
they will be ready for her.

A mini accessory craft tote bag. My son
and daughter bought me it for mother's day
from a very nice friend. (she know's who I

It is great can't wait to fill it. I didn't

Scanning

I have just spent the last 6 hours or so scanning
papers onto my computer. I had them all on before
but with loosing my hard drive, I had to do them
all again. Unfortunatly I had used some of them
so will have to buy them again if I can get hold
of them that is.
Got a lovely surprise of my OH yesterday, he bought
me a laptop, he knew that I was wanting one, so he
treated me to one yesterday, he has set it all up
for me. So I running free now. Just got a few more
bits and bobs to put onto it and it is all done.
He must be feeling guilty after loosing all my
stuff of the hard drive. Luckily thanks to a
lot of peoples sites that I have got downloads
have been lovely and sent me them again. So almost
back to normal.
Hope to make some cards tomorrow as I havn't made
any for nearly a week.

Not made any cards for a while

Hi everyone, I am still here I havn't made
any cards for a few days. I was having
problems with my pc so asked my OH to
take a look at it. He decided to take
everything of the computer and reload
everything from scratch, well he thought
that he had unplugged my external harddrive
but hadn't it was my printer, so when
formatting the computer he also formatted
my external harddrive aswell, so I lost
everything. Have been trying to get things
back from discs, but not everything was
on disc. I have even lost my son's 18th
birthday photos. I managed to printed
one off of him and his sister.
I have managed to get some of the
downloads back aswell. But not all. So
will have to purchase them again. So this
time I have made sure I have made a backup
copy of them all. So let this be a lesson
to me and a note for you all, that you do
the same.

Seem to have caught an altering bug

Enjoyed altering the other box shown below,
found this shoe box and decided to make use
of it. So I made it into a ribbon box, I
still have lots of ribbons to sort out
but this will have to do for now. My
daughter was very impressed with it. So
am I.

A crafting friend gave me this idea

Julie from Cardmaking and Papercraft gave me
this idea, on how to store birthday, wedding
and anniversarie cards that I make. Well I
just had to make one, and so glad that I have.
Now I will be able to make a card and put it
in the month of the year for the person that
I have made it for.

I can also make them in advance and not loose
them :-) I have also put a spare divider in
for spare cards that I make for people on
the forum or for an emergency.
I used an old sweet box and backed it with
paper, then added the embellishments just to
the front. I then made my own dividers and
put a sheet of paper on the front and wrote
who's birthday is in that month and the date.
I then just added a couple of flowers or
butterflys to the corners.

Here is my card for the challenge
Titled: "Spring has Sprung" for
the secret crafter challenge.
Cute card thursday you had to use
spring colours well I hope they
tye in with what I have used.

So I used some nice bright backing paper
that I had on my computer which I matted
and layered onto some pearlised silver card,
a yellow scollaped circle for the picture
which was also on my computer, I typed
Wishing you a Happy Easter and printed
it onto yellow card and used my scollap punch
then added some yellow and orange ribbon
down the side.

My PIF is now closed.

Lili of the Valley Challenge

For this weeks challenge I have made this
card. I have followed the sketch that
they gave you and have made this Baby girl
card.

I have used some pink flowered backing paper,
and used my fiskers border punch to get the
border down the middle, then used a scolloped
edge circle to place the picture that I have
downloaded from Charmed Cards. I then used my
cuttlebug to die cut the words it's a girl.

Well I have been making a lot of cards
lately, mostly for ladies.
So I thought it was time I made some for
the men out there.

This first one was a pyrimage of a
lighthouse that I have had for a while
and decided to use.

I have told myself that I am going to
try and use up a lot of my old stash
before buying more.

This card was made from Making Cards
for Men, which I got last year and never
used. Hopefully someone will want it for
there dad or grandad!!

I really like these ones, these are also

this one would be nice from a child to
there dad.

It's snowing

I just popped into the kitchen to make myself
a hot chocolate and looked out the back door
and noticed that is snowing and laying. I hope
that this doesn't mean my daughter won't get
to school tomorrow. She will be pleased if
it does.

Here is a picture of the back garden now.
Hope it's all gone by the morning, I like to
see it but not be out in it.

I have use the word Hero down the
side and the clothes on the cd. I had
these on a decoupage sheet in my draw
for ages and thought I would make use
of it. (Doesn't every hero wear
these)

2nd Challenge is: Secret Saturday
Titled Recycling.
I used an old Cd that was on my
shelf that had got scratched.
(New it would come in useful
for something)

3rd Challenge is: One Stop Challenge
Titled Circles.
Well the cd is round and there are
cirlces on the boxer shorts and on
the backing paper.

you had to use 3 papers, 2 flowers and
1 ribbon onto it.

2nd Challenge is: Cute Thursday Challenge,
Title Metallico, it has to have something
metal on it, well I have hung the word
Love from the ribbon in the top left corner.

3rd Challenge is: Stamp Something,
Well I won some stamped images of Matilda
in a PIF a while ago and decided to use it.

4th Challenge is: A spoonfull of sugar, I
followed the sketch for this one.

Kaboodle Challenge

Stars download and put a download from the
Pollycrafts site. Down the side I have
used my cuttlebug and punched out the words
Be Mine in Red Mirri Card and placed a heart
brad between the words. I have used a

Busy making cards

The 1st 6 are what I got from The Little Lou
cd. I think they are beautiful cards. They
all have individual names, but not sure which
one is which. I have made them and my sister
is going to take the to work and see if she
can sell them for me.

This next one is for someone at work along with the
one that I have put in for the Fridaysketchers Challenge.
I have made 2 so she can decide which one she would
like to give to her mum for mothers day.

This one my sister asked me to make a porter
at work a card. He drives ambulances around
the trust and collecting patients for treatment
or for xrays. I hope he see's the funny side
of it.

Friday Sketchers Challenge

Here is my card for the Friday Sketchers Challenge.
You had to follow the sketch but put what ever
you wanted on it. Someone from work has asked me
to make her a mothers day card so I used the
sketch to make it with.

I used the rose image and the rose backing
paper from a Cupcake cd, the rose I have decoupaged.
I used a white piece of card and used my fiskars
punch to decorate the edge. I have used red
pearlised and pink pearlised card underneath the
decoupage and decorated the edges with gold
peel offs. I also used the same card to make
the topper which says Happy Mothers Day.

Asian Mystique

I have made these ATC's for a swapping on
the Cardmaking and Papercraft Forum. They
are so colourful. I really enjoyed making
them.

I got them from The Little Lou's CD
Asian Mystique. I've also printed the
cards out to make so will have a go after
lunch.

Made this card this afternoon, I got the
word mum from the Max Papercraft Fair
that I went to on Sunday, I decided to
use it as a template.

I have used a sheet of 12x12 pink card
and folded it in half, then cut it out.
I have put silver peel offs around the
edges and decorated with flowers with
a heart in each centre. I found some
silver peel off flowers and used paper
underneath so give it more definition
and used stick pads to raise them up.
I have put a happy mothers day peel off
down the edge.

Create & Craft

Was watching Create & Craft yesterday
and saw this card being made, and
thought I would give it a try. It
took 4 sheets of 12x12 card, I used
dark blue for the main card and then
2 shades of paler blue for the centre and
silver mirri board for the toppers.

I scored the 1st sheet of blue into 1/4's
and scored down them. I then folded it in
the middle and scored 3inches down x4, and
cut to make 4 tabs, I then cut the 2 paler
blue colours and backed them back to back
1 shade of each on each side and sloted it
down the centre of the tabs.

I decorated the front with footballs and
football boots cut out in silver mirri board
with my cuttlebug machine.
On the toppers I used silver peel offs of
footballers, the word goal, trophys and a
flag.

Charisma Cardz Challenge

Here is my card for the Charisma Cardz
Challenge. This weeks challenge is
black and white with a choice of another
colour.

I used this silouhette picture
and layered it onto black paper, I have
placed pearlised brads in each corner
and put metallic peel offs down both
sides of the picture.

BIL Birthday cards

Here are my BIL birthday cards that I made
this afternoon. It's not his birthday till
the end of the month but trying to get ahead
of myself. I used the Joanna Sheen Jayne
Netley Mayhem cd's, It's the first time I've
used it, had them for ages.

It is a great cd for someone like my BIL who
is mad about wildlife and the jungle. He
went to Africa a few years ago so it may
bring back some memories for him. You can
make some great male birthday cards from
these cd's I would recommend them to anyone.

4 Challenges in 1

I have made this card for 3 challenges. The
challenges are Sketch and Stash, Pollycraft
challenge, A Spoonfull of Sugar and Papertake
weekly challenge.

For the Sketch and Stash challenge you had
to follow the sketch which they
gave you and use materials that you have
either just got or haven't used in a long time.
The download is new to me and bought the ribbon
the other day from The Range.
The Pollycraft challenge and the Spoonfull
of Sugar Challenge are both titled Love
the Pollcraft challenge you had to use one
of there images on the card, so I used Benji &
Bex Valentine download. The Papertake weekly
challenge had to have flowers or hearts on it
or both.

ATC's

Sandra from the Cardmaking and Papercraft forum
has organised an ATC swop titled Easter.
You have to make 4 atc's and they have to have
an easter egg on them. Here are mine that I made
this afternoon.

Went to the Max Papercraft fair
today at the Kingston Commuincations Stadium and
bought the chick in the egg and the eggs, so they
have come in very useful. The other 2 are downloads
from the Lili of the Valley site.

the Cardmaking and Papercraft forum.

This card is for someone on the Cardmaking
and Papercraft forum telling her that I'm thinking of
her as she has had a lot on just before christmas.

This card I've made for someone on the forum
as an SAS card (sending a smile) We send someone
a card each month telling them that we are
thinking of them. Hopefully it brings a smile
to there face when they recieve it.

One Stop Craft Challenge

Here is my card for the One Stop Craft
Challenge. I thought I had put it on
yesterday but it wasn't here, so here
it is. It has to have buttons and bows
on it.

I used a Fairy download from Lili of the
Valley and the backing paper is from
there also. I used a blue flower with
a blue heart button in the centre and
blue ribbon to make the bow.

Sketch Saturday Challenge #36

hasn't turned out to good, but I have
followed the sketch honest.

I used the image from Pollycraft and the
flower backing paper is also from there.
The other backing paper is from Funky
Hands Cd's.

Secret Crafter Challenge #17

This weeks challenge is titled The Zoo.
I made this card for my friend who had
a little boy. It has Zoo animals on it
so thought it was ideal for this challenge.

I used the Crafters Companion Cd to get the
topppers and backing paper and put it onto
to some bronze mirri card.

I have made these 2 cards for my sister,
it is her birthday next Wednesday and just
didn't know what to put on them. So had a
sort through some of my images that I won
on a PIF and found the Tilda stamped image
and used that one from me.

The Auntie card I have used a download
from Pollycraft, and have used it as this
weeks challenge. You had to use one of
there downloads plus have flowers and
ribbon on it.

This card Is from the new La Pashe series.
I just love them. My DD thinks it's rude,
but I just think it is very funny. I hope
you like it.

I have just come onto my blog to find that
I have won 2 awards from Jan.

The rules are:
Go to pictures on your pc select the 6th album
and the 6th picture then up load it to your
blog and explain what it is. Well my picture
is of my daughter and two nieces at Alton Towers
last year on the swings, my daughter is the one
with blond hair at the back and my nieces are next
to her and behind her.

Pig card

Was looking through my favorite web pages
and came across a site that I havn't used
for ages Sara Sandberg, she makes templates
she has some really good ones. Well I found
this pig template and thought I would make
a card with it. It was fun to make, Sara
doesn't mount it onto a card though. You
can get her templates from Time for crafting
She has lots to choose from and easy to make.

Oriental Swap

On the Cardmaking and Papercraft forum, 3katz
has organised an Orient ATC swap. You had to
make up to 4 atc's. Well here are mine, I have
made them with a front on them, I used red brads
and red decorative thread to hold it closed.
I have also put the image from the backing paper
down the front aswell as on the inside. I have
also put a gold peel off border down the edges.

I then put an image from Joanna Sheens, Tales
of the Orient onto red card stock and placed
it in the middle as you can see in the
second lot of photos. I have also put a gold
peel off border down the edges.

Got a phone call this afternoon

Telling me that I have an appointment tomorrow
with the surgeon that is going to remove the
cysts on my sternum. In one way I am pleased
knowing that I will hopefully get a date for
sugery, and another part of me is really
nervous. At lease I will know one way or the
other. They tell me he is a very nice man, so
I will be in good hands. I will keep you all
posted as to what he has to say.

On the Cardmaking and Papercraft forum
we are doing Butterfly Fatpages organised
by Rhea. The picture hasn't turned out very
good. You have to make 2 pages and the size is
4 x 4inces and leave a space down the left
handside so that people can put them together.
I used a pyramage of Butterflys, I was
quite pleased on how they have turned out.
Once Rhea has recieved from everyone we all
get 2 back from other people that have also
made them. Can't wait to recieve mine.

Got Mojo back

Well since I came home from hospital I have
been needing to make some birthday cards and
a sas card for friends of Cardmaking and
Papercraft forum. Well I have finally sat
down and made them, and am pleased with what
I have done. Oh I also made 2 birth cards
my friend at work her daughter had a baby
boy on New Years Day, so I have made a
congratulations card to the proud parents
and one for the proud grandparents.

Hi everyone, sorry that I havn't updated
my blog for a while, unfortunatly for me,
I got admitted to hospital the day after
boxing day with pneumonia, not very nice
thing to have I must say. Well I only got
out on Friday evening, so I have been
trying to take it easy. But it isn't easy
when you see something needs doing, My OH
bless him has been fantastic, luckily the
first week I was in hospital he was off work
so he was home with the kids. The second
week my daughter was back at school so
it wasn't to bad, my OH was very tired
from it all. I said to him now you know
how I feel working full time and running
a house aswell.
Well I'm on the mend just now waiting to
hear from a surgeon at the hospital to have
some cysts removed from my sternum, and
then hopefully that will be the end of it
all.
So I am trying to get back to cardmaking,
got a cuttlebug for christmas that is
calling out to be used. So may have a
play this afternoon.
Hope you all had a lovely christmas and
new year.

Traditional Christmas card

A friend at work has asked me to
make a traditional christmas card
for her parents. This is what I've
made. I used one of Joanna Sheens
Cd's I just love them. The sentiment
says: To a Special Mum and Dad
at Christmas.

I've also entered it into 2 challenges.
Cute card Thursday, you could choose
what you want. The other challenge is
Stamp Something, it has to have the
colours red, green and gold in it.

My 1st Pyramid Card

I have been meaning to try and make
a pyramid card for a while now and
was getting bored of just making
plain A5 christmas cards. So I have
made this for my OH sister and
BIL.

I used 2 shades of green card,
and made them 6 x 6 inches. I
printed Dottie in her christmas
outfit and coloured her in and put
glamour dust where the white is,
then mounted it onto silver mirror
card.

Secret Crafter Challenge#11

Here is the card that I've made for the
Secret Crafter Challenge#11

I used Let it Snow backing paper,
with a snowflake backing paper on
top of that and a pastel stripped
backing paper with snowflakes down the
side, I have placed 3 white
snowflakes down the side and then
printed a christmas snowfairy from
Cuddlybuddly onto some swirl backing
paper and mounted it onto silver
mirror board. I Have also put the
sentiment onto silver mirror board.

Friday Sketchers Challenge #32

Here is the card that I have made for
the Friday Sketchers Challenge #32

I used a snowflake backing paper that I
got free from a magazine, I have put a
pearlished snowflake in the top left
hand corner with a smaller white snowflake
on top of it using my punches, the writing
paper I got from my local craft shop,
the snowman image is from Cuddlybuddly
and the Merry Christmas is what I had
on my computer.

New sketch challenges starting on 5th January

Has just started and from January 5th she will
be setting up her first sketch challenge.
A very good friend Crafting Diva will be
one of her DT. So congratulations Lisa
and good luck to Becky. The challenges
will be every 2 weeks, you have to use
something in your stash that you haven't
used in a long time. It can be anything
you want as long as you follow there sketch.
Can't wait for it to start up.

Gothic Christmas Card

One of my sisters work colleges
asked me to make her a christmas
card for her daughter. She wanted
it in a Gothic theme. Well this is
what I came up with. I hope she
likes it. She wanted them to be
beside a christmas tree, but this is
all I could find. She wanted it to
be red and black.

I used black glossy card and wrapped
red pearlised around it and put a red
squiqqly border peeloff to hide the
joins, I put the image on to black
pearlised card with brads and then
raised it up with foam tape, I did the
same with the daughter tag at the bottom,
on the side panel I have put 2 red
snowflakes and punched out 2 snow flakes
and used them at the bottom.

Dotties world challenge

It's my daughters friends birthday
next saturday and she will be 13,
so I have made her this card for her
and thought I would put it into the
challenge. It had to have ribbon or lace
on it and a touch of sparkle. I have put
ribbon down the side and accross the top
and put Glamour dust on the tiara, wand
and the tutu.

Family and friend's christmas cards

Here are the cards that I have made for my
2 kids for christmas. I fell in love with
the toppers when I saw them in the local
craft shop and had to have them. Haven't
made OH's card yet. Will try and get it
made in the next couple of day.

Here are the cards that I have made for my
2 Sisters and there familys. They like
the tradional look. Which is nice but I'm a
cutie sort of card person.

These cards I have made for my friends.
One of which is my hairdresser and also
makes cards, so we sometimes challenge
each other.

I still have to make cards for my Dad and
brother. So will get round to making them
when I make OH's card.
